Welcome to Florence, the Cradle of Renaissance! The people of this small city were able to inspire the whole world by depicting the beauty we hold within us all. Many famous artists like Leonardo Da Vinci, Ghiberti and Brunescelli rekindled the aesthetic flame of ancient Greece and Rome and gifted their city with an exceptional artistic beauty. As we follow their footsteps in Florence, you’ll come to realize what Renaissance meant in essence: the rediscovery of human body, and the noble beauty of it.
In this route, we will be covering some outstanding squares like the Duomo and Santa Croche, along with many exceptional churches, cafes and palaces- including the two most famous ones: The Medici and the Strozzi. Then, we’ll pay a visit to Michelangelo’s Gate of Paradise and learn how it gave birth to Renaissance. We will drop by the birthplace of Dante, the father of modern Italian language who shared his vision of heaven and hell in the Divine Comedy.
